BODY Temple CHURCH

An initiation into the ritual arts of grief, pleasure and devotion.

Four women sitting on a red floor with scattered rose petals and roses, dressed in black, white, and red outfits, with a red background, showing a sense of intimacy and connection.

Somatic training, sacred theater, and erotic intelligence for facilitators, artists, and cultural change-makers.

You’ve done the therapy.
You’ve read the books.
You can name the systems.

But can you stay in your body when intimacy gets real?

Body Temple is for leaders who are done performing consciousness and ready to inhabit it.

You are not here to optimize yourself. You are here to embody yourself.

Body Temple is a high-level somatic and ritual training space for those who want to lead without dissociating, teach without bypassing, hold erotic charge without shame, track their nervous system in real time, and transform trauma responses into creative authority.

WELCOME TO BODY TEMPLE

Embodied leadership begins in the body. Body Temple is an experiential movement and somatic education practice for people and organizations ready to move beyond burnout, disconnection, and performative leadership—and into deeper presence, intuition, creativity, relational intelligence, and embodied power.

Through Body Temple Dance™, we combine guided free-form movement, somatic education, ritual theater, emotional expression, and intuitive practice with roots in Tantra, Italian Shamanism, trauma-informed healing, and embodied spirituality.

We create transformative spaces where people can feel what they know, move what has been held, and access forms of intelligence that cannot be reached through cognition alone. This is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming more fully available to who you already are.

FOR LEADERS WHO ARE READY TO COME BACK TO THE BODY

Modern leadership asks people to think, perform, produce, decide, and adapt constantly. But sustainable leadership requires something deeper: the capacity to listen inward. To stay present under pressure. To access intuition. To navigate emotion. To hold complexity. To remain connected to self and others. To lead from a place that is rooted rather than reactive.

Body Temple offers a different kind of leadership development—one that includes the intelligence of the body, nervous system, emotions, creativity, and intuition. We work with leaders, teams, and communities who are ready to cultivate greater presence, resilience, self-trust, creative capacity, relational awareness, and embodied authority.

THIS IS WHERE THE BODY BECOMES PART OF THE CONVERSATION

Our work creates space for what traditional professional environments often leave behind: Grief. Rage. Desire. Pleasure. Instinct. Creativity. Uncertainty. Devotion. Truth. Not as distractions from leadership— but as information. Through movement and embodied practice, participants learn to recognize what their bodies are communicating and develop greater capacity to respond rather than react. Because the body is not separate from how we lead. The body is where leadership happens.

BODY TEMPLE EXISTS FOR THOSE WHO ARE READY TO LIVE AND LEAD FROM THE INSIDE OUT

We work with people who are done with numbness, disconnection, and inherited systems of self-abandonment. People who want to break free from patriarchal conditioning without abandoning structure, excellence, or accountability. People who want to lead with both authority and receptivity. People who understand that innovation requires imagination, that meaningful culture requires relationship, and that sustainable change requires embodied participation—not simply intellectual agreement. This is leadership development that moves. This is somatic education that can be felt. This is a return to the intelligence already living within us.

BRING BODY TEMPLE TO YOUR ORGANIZATION, RETREAT, OR COMMUNITY

Adriana Rizzolo brings more than a movement practice. She brings an embodied methodology developed through years of teaching, facilitation, ritual practice, somatic education, and transformational work. Body Temple experiences can be designed for: Leadership retreats · Team gatherings · Organizational culture · Women's leadership · Creative communities · Wellness programs · Conferences · Professional development · Transformational retreats · Founder and executive spaces We create experiences that are rigorous, embodied, inclusive, experiential, and unforgettable. Because sometimes the most powerful shift doesn't happen when someone learns something new. It happens when they finally feel what they already know.

BODY TEMPLE DANCE™ Move. Feel. Listen. Remember. Lead. Your body is not an obstacle to your leadership. It is one of your greatest sources of intelligence.

WHAT IS BODY TEMPLE?

Our work lives at the intersection of grief work, ritual theater, feminine leadership, womb devotion, and somatic mysticism.

Body Temple is not a workout.
Not another place to fix yourself.

It is a Pattern Interrupter. It is a RETURN to
RIGHT RELATIONSHIP.

Meet Adriana

Somatic healer, oracle, artist, adult sex educator, trance dance guide, and founder of Body Temple Church.

I didn’t come to this work because I wanted to become an expert in the body. I came to it because I had to find my way back into my own.

For more than 17 years, I’ve been devoted to studying and practicing in India, immersed in Kundalini Shakti—the serpent power of consciousness—through the tantric and Bhakti traditions. This path taught me that the sacred isn’t somewhere above us. It is alive in the body. In desire. In grief. In rage. In pleasure. In devotion. In the parts of ourselves we were taught to hide.

I founded Body Temple because I wanted a place where we could stop treating the body as something to overcome and begin relating to it as a source of intelligence, wisdom, creativity, and power.

My work has been shaped by teachers and lineages that have profoundly changed me. I trained with Deborah Sundahl in somatic sex education, developing a deep anatomical and pelvic literacy that brought a new precision to my understanding of pleasure, sexuality, and the body. I studied Italian shamanism and pre-Christian trance rituals of grief and eros with Alessandra Belloni, reconnecting me to ancestral ritual, voice, ecstatic movement, and the fierce devotional traditions of my own Italian lineage.

I’ve been sober for more than 14 years (with the exception of one psychadelic journey.)

I know what it is to disconnect from the body. To perform. To abandon myself to be loved. To make other people's needs more important than my own knowing. To carry grief, shame, anger, desire, and survival patterns and not know what to do with all that energy.

I also know what it feels like to slowly come home.

That is the work I teach.

I bring together mysticism, somatic education, nervous system awareness, ritual theater, sacred sexuality, shadow work, and devotional practice to help people develop a more intimate relationship with themselves.

I teach leaders, facilitators, artists, healers, and cultural change-makers how to stay present with the charge of being alive—without immediately shutting it down, acting it out, or turning it into a problem to solve.

How to feel anger without becoming consumed by it.

How to meet grief without rushing to transcend it.

How to reclaim erotic intelligence without turning it into performance.

How to listen to intuition without abandoning discernment.

How to hold more power without needing to control everything around you.

How to let the body become part of your leadership.

My teaching is not about transcendence.

It is about inhabitation.

About coming all the way into this strange, beautiful, messy human life and saying:

I am here.
This is my body.
This is my life.
I am willing to feel it.
I am willing to live it.
I am willing to let it change me.

That is Body Temple.

This is the invitation I keep returning to, for myself and for everyone I have the privilege of teaching.

Body Temple Dance is shadow theater for somatic artists who came to transform through love and loving.

What is Shadow Theater?

Shadow theater is the art of becoming myth in motion.

Figures — bodies, objects — held between a light source and a screen, their silhouettes becoming the story.

What lives in shadow steps forward and becomes the performance itself.

Imagine if shadow work and theater had a baby.

It is one of humanity's oldest storytelling arts — woven into ritual, ceremony, and devotional practice across cultures and centuries.

Not performance for applause. A listening. An offering.

A way of letting the body become a vessel for myth, grief, eros, and prayer.

Temple of Wild Lovers is Body Temple's ritual theater collective.

Our productions:

Inanna with a Jersey Twist — New York City, September 2023

Persephone and Pussy as God — Santa Fe, June 2024

Persephone and Pussy as God — November 2025

The shadow is not an absence. It is presence. It is how we give form to what is too ancient, too tender, or too wild to speak directly — and how we move what words alone cannot reach.

  • “To me ritual theatre feels like a mix between performative art, spirituality, archetypal, folklore, and ancestral worship.

It’s a performance that goes beyond self-identity. In ritual theatre we gather and create with the intelligence of the GREAT MOTHER. Her energy flows through us like sparks of lightning, nudging us to speak, move and harmonize to her rhythms. There is nothing left but for us to be SO AWAKE to her energy moving through us.” - Angie

  • “Ritual theatre is a form of darshan, divine sight.

I go into the temple of my body to see what’s lying within, what is ready to be seen when I bring the illumination of my attention, my desires, my fears…and then moving through the process to let it be expressed, to draw it out to the surface and let it be seen by eyes that are not just my own 👁️” - Carly Seller

  • “RITUAL THEATER is quenching a thirst for the art of the Oracle- a practice as old as time,

as we take part in ritual, we are awakening an ancient, ancestral act. It is alive in our blood+bones+soul and opens the opportunity for the divine to be expressed and witnessed through each of our unique channels and voices. It is an offering back to the divine. Both performer and audience are opened by raw creative expression and emotion, deep feeling, laughter and catharsis in a way that no other therapy can move.” - Jenna

  • “Ritual theater creates a safe space where the parts of us patriarchal culture refuses to hold become embodied.

Rage, grief, desire, longing- they take the stage, get witnessed, and leave transformed. It isn’t performance for an audience. It’s the soul finding expression for what societal conditioning has shamed and silenced, in front of people who have the capacity to witness it.” - Christina

  • “Ritual theater is a space of the original oracle, mystics of another dimension.

It's a place of love and truth, one to rehat shows you how to release the harden crystal surround your body.  It'll make you ooze out the gooey innards full of despair and trauma.

Ritual theater is the experience to learn who your soul wants to be that day.”
